Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden, London
 Debbie
Moore founded the Pineapple dance studios in 1979, in an old
pineapple warehouse in Covent Garden. Her aim was to make dance
accessible to everyone because, in the words of Isadora Duncan, 'To
dance is to live.' Pineapple Studios is the main centre of dance in
London, with several thousand members. The studios offer classes in all
styles of dance for all levels - over 200 open classes per week, with
the most extensive choice of dance classes available in London.
Pineapple is a home from home for Lion King and Chicago, among many other West-End musicals, for auditions and rehearsals in the nine rehearsal rooms available for hire. Madonna filmed her comeback video, ‘Hung Up’, at Pineapple Dance Studios and Will Young
rehearsed his latest tour. This vibrant atmosphere is the inspiration
for the Pineapple brand of clothing. For example, Pineapple fit models
can be seen on stage in London’s West End, in pop music videos, on music
tours and in the latest pop videos.
There is a Performing Arts School at
Pineapple Dance Studios, which provides classes in singing, dancing and
